DATA QUERYING AND MANAGEMENT
To help healthcare organizations obtain the information they need to make informed decisions and to improve processes, Phil regularly uses his database query and management skills to:
-
Extract and manipulate data using the industry standard Structured Query Language (SQL), and when SQL is not available, using other available tools or custom software tools he designs and/or develops
-
Identify inconsistent or incorrect data so that it can be corrected or excluded
-
Analyze and restructure data to obtain needed information in needed formats
Of particular note is that Phil has extensive experience working with patient healthcare data from:
-
Surgical information systems
-
Clinic appointment systems
-
Cancer treatment systems
-
Hospital bed stay systems
-
Hospital laboratory systems
-
Hospital imaging systems
-
Hospital pharmacy systems
In a more recent project, Phil used his data querying and management skills and his knowledge of hospital information systems to compile data needed for a proof of concept hospital enterprise optimization project undertaken by CGI and River Logic on behalf of the Sir Mortimer B. Davis Jewish General Hospital.
